My parents started showing boxers in the 1950s
I started showing cavaliers in1980 under the Jonsville affix.
We had several championship show winners, and exported a lovely dog to Finland called Jonsville Easter Classic, who became a winning champion.
I am more famous for my Pekingese, having bred 10 English Champions, one breaking
records in 1988, by achieving 17 CCs with BOB, winning three BIS wins, 1 Reserve
BIS and 5 toy groups at General all-breed Championship shows. Int. Ch. Jonsville Daytime
Lover, claimed the title of Top Toy the same year, ending up 3rd top dog overall in the U.K.
He became a champion in 8 countries, including Belgium and was a World Winner.
I have had the opportunity to judge in Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, America, Poland, Finland and France and I am appointed to judge in the Czech Republic later this year. I have judged cavaliers for 37 years starting back in 1986.
I award CCs in all breeds in the UK Toy Group. I also judge the Toy Group at Championship Level in the UK.
I also judged Pekingese at Crufts in 2019.
I am the Secretary of the South & West Wales Cavalier Club, since 2006 and I am also the
Secretary of the South Wales Pekingese Association, a post I have held successfully for over
24 years. Recently, I am also the Secretary of the Toy Dog Society of Wales.
I am still very successful with my Pekingese, Ch. Jonsville Gucci was Top Pekingese 2022 and his daughter was Top Pekingese Puppy 2023.
I have also bred one champion Japanese Chin and bred numerous overseas top winners in Europe.
I am extremely honoured to be asked to judge again at this very well organised show, the first time being in 2014.
